How much funding can I get?
You can get funding up to 50%. The only exception is sustainability projects which will be supported up to 70%.
Who approves EDG?
A grant applications officer from Enterprise Singapore (ESG) compiles, reviews and ultimately approves your application.
How much can I get?
ESG does not disclose their assessment process. From experience, it depends on:
a. the scope of the project
b. the size of your business in terms of turnover and manpower
c. the average claim size based on other similar companies to yours
While some applications with larger scopes can be much higher, typical Branding & Marketing Grants are sized between $30k-$60k.
Is my company eligible for EDG?
To be eligible, you are required to:
1. Have a registered company and operating in Singapore
2. Have at least 30% local shareholding (Singaporeans/PR)
3. Have less than $100 million revenue (or)
4. Employ fewer than 200 employees
You must also be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project.
Are there other pre-requisites?
This is not clearly defined, however, these are our best estimations:
a. No. of Employees: at least 4 full time employees (excluding shareholders/directors)
b. Annual Turnover: ~$300-$400k
c. Track record: 2-3 years of reasonable annual turnover
I am a newer company with good turnover. Can I apply?
Startups are not generally NOT eligible for EDG- however, if your startup has displayed an ability to generate great turnover before the min. required years, you might stand a chance. Alternatively, check out: Startup SG network.
If you are unclear, please get in touch with one of our consultants.

How long does it take for my grant application to get approved?
Approval usually takes 4-8weeks. It depends on:
a. the scope and contents of your proposal
b. proper consolidation of the required documents
c. amount of applications made at that point in time
That's hella long, can we start work while pending approval?
You should only start work when you receive an official LOE from ESG before starting on a EDG project. Outside of any relevant application fees, you are not to have made any payment for services that pertain to your EDG Grant prior to approval.
How long does it take to complete an EDG project?
Depending on the scope, our Branding & Marketing Projects take 3-6 months. For more complex cases, where your grant involves multiple consultants from different companies, this process can take up to a year.
How do I submit an application?
With the right documents and information ready, the application process takes 0.5-1hr.
All applications are to be submitted to EDG directly via the Business Grant Portal.
Rest assured, one of our consultants will be there to guide you along this process.
What other documents must I provide?
You need to provide the following documents:
1. Your project brief/proposal
2. Up-to-date ACRA document
3. Past 3 years financial statements (including latest year)*
4. 94's Consultant project proposal & sign off
*Audited FS are preferred, unaudited statements need to be signed off by the business owner(s).
Huh? What proposal must I prepare?
Chill, our consultant and team will prepare the required proposal on your behalf.
Can I apply for multiple EDG Grants?
There are no hard limitations on how many EDG Grants you can apply for. Understanding a business's need to move fast, ESG allows you to apply and work on more than one EDG project at one time.
However, you can only apply for an EDG grant in a specified area once. ie. If you have gotten an EDG grant for Branding and Marketing once, you are no longer eligible for another EDG grant under the same category. You can still apply for EDG grants under other areas eg. Business Strategy Development, Pilot Project & Testing etc.
How will I know if my application is successful?
Please, please, please. CHECK YOUR EMAILS!
ESG will send a Letter of Offer OR a rejection letter to your email. You must then accept the Letter of Offer in order to kickstart your EDG project.
@*%#! I got rejected! How ah?
Should you *touch wood* receive a rejection letter, or feel that the subsidised amount is too low. You can make a submission for the application again. We will work with you and the Claims Officer to ensure you have resolved all flagged issues to meet the requirements. ESG will treat it as a new application.
I accepted the LOE. Can I now claim for the project?
Yes, ESG allows you to make an advance payment claim. This is capped at a percentage of the total grant amount. This means you can request for dispersement of funds in advance, prior to paying for our invoice. The official figure will be stated in the Letter of Offer.
Where do I make claims?
Again, our consultants are more than happy to assist you through the claiming process. All claims are made via the same business grant portal at https://www.businessgrants.gov.sg
